I wanted to do a master copy of a portrait of Martin Luther. It is not a very like copy. LOL! In the original painting, he is rather stern. I thought I made him look a little happier. My previous master copies have been more of paintings with charcoal. This one is more of a drawing with pencils.

This is a very small drawing. I usually make bigger ones. This is 7×10 charcoal on grey paper.

Let the wife make the husband glad to come home, and let him make her sorry to see him leave. — Martin Luther
He does look rather happy. Not like the usual Martin Luther renderings.
